h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

< *runs to pick night back up* you ought to be more careful y'know!>
*Thoran moves away from the road and goes into a small clearing. Eating some food from his pack he then goes into meditation*

~Thoran

*moon rises*

*moon sets*

*etc*

*sun comes up*

*Thoran opens his eyes and gets up, checking no one is around he continues his journey*

~Thoran

<*runs around in a circle for a few hours until she gets bored*

*waits for a while*

*carries on running around in circles again, singing nursery rhymes*

La la la....

*decides Thoran has travelled long enough*>

*after a few hours, Thoran comes to the start of the mountain range that his hometown is situated near to*

*there is a DA patrol! Oh no! Quick Thoran, go get your weapon and kill them all! Go Thoran, go Thoran!*

<*kicks narrator into submission*>

*Ahem...there are three drow, all armed mediumly*

*well, it's between lightly and heavily...so, mediumly?*

<*kicks narrator again*>

<*Thoran turns to the Drow* shall we?
*Thoran and the Drow attack Fay for trying to make cheap jokes and then for kicking herself as she is the narrator ("stop kicking yourself, stop kicking yourself etc)*>
*Thoran walks into the middle of the road, leaning heavily on his staff, his cloak around his head so his face cannot be seen and waits for teh drow to come close*

~Thoran

<*the narrator and Fay both gang up on Thoran, making the drow join in, since the narrator controls everything in the entire thread*>

*the drow see Thoran, and jump up and start ambling casually towards him*

< despite h2g2 crashing on me my post still made it, after I'd logged off!!!!>
*When the drow come within reach Thoran suddenly sweeps with his quaterstaff, trying to trip the drow up*

~Thoran

*the drow jump deftly over the quarterstaff, and start to attack him*

*Thorn spins the quaterstaff round to keep the drow at bay, then changing his grip on it he thrusts it at one of their faces*


~Thoran

*the blow does connect; the one drow is sent backwards but the other two continue to attack*

*Thoran watches the drow waiting for them to close with him*

~Thoran

*drow 1 takes his short sword and sweeps low to the ground at Thoran's legs, whilst drow 2 slashes in the front*

*drow 3 starts winding his way to behind Thoran*

*spins his quaterstaff round in a full circle to deflect the drow's blades and then steps back to prevnt himself from being flanked.*
*sidesteps towards drow 3 and slashes at him with his quaterstaff*

~Thoran

*the drow do varyingly slightly impressive things to fight back*
<*narrator goes on semi-strike. do it yourself, you lazy >*>

*Thoran's blow takes the drow in the shoulder making it numb, causing the drow to drop his sword.*
*while it is prone Thoran quickly uppercuts with the other end of his staff, catching the drow under it's mouth and breaking it's neck as it's head is forced up.*
*Spinning round Thoran finds one of the drow is going to flank him and the other is attacking.*
*Thoran spins away from the sword thrust of the attacking drow, but is gashed on one side*


~Thoran

*one drow down, two to go*

*one drow attacks Thoran on the other side (the uninjured side) whilst the other tries to sweep his feet out from under him*

*using his quaterstaff Thoran jumps backwards, away from the attack and over the attempt to sweep his feet*
*Thoran walks forward, towards one of the drow, making multiple lunges at its mid-riff with his quaterstaff. As it twists out of the way he drops to the floor and sweeps his quaterstaff round in a full circle, taking its legs out as it is unbalanced.*
*As the other drow moves in at Thoran, thinking he is prone, Thoran jabs upwards viciously into the drow's chest, under the rib cage, impaling it.*
*standing up Thoran leaves his quaterstaff in the drow, draws his knife and quickly moves to slit the third drow's throat*

~Thoran

*the third drow is also killed *



*Thoran is free to carry on*

*Thoran drags the bodies off the road, cleans his wound and binds it then moves on*
