h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*entrance to the Outpost must be through this gate, guarded by a dozen or so soldiers.*

*a soldier on a horse comes galloping up, the horse and he both breathless*

[soldier] Hoy! Open up, I have word from Kalsho!

[guard] Come in, what's happened? *opens the gates*

[soldier] *comes in and gets off horse* On their way to Kalsho some Magicians got attacked by Orcs, one got away...it's feared that they will attack again, or perhaps attack one of these other outposts...

[guard] You need to talk to the captain!

*the soldier leaves quickly for the commanders office*

*walks upto the gate*
ho! gate keeper?

[Guard]OI!!! What do you want down there eh?!

I would like to enter the outpost if its not too much bother...
or i could just camp out here...

*THe Gates swing open.*

*walks into Poroda*

*walks to the gate,*
can i get out now?

Guard: of course...
*opens gate*

*leves poroda*

*rides towards the gate*
Gate keep I would like entery to return somethings i borrowed

*gard opens the gate*
*rides into the outpost*
*goes to the barracks*

*rides back out of the outpost*

[Ecg Unagi]: *To the sentry*
"Can we come in?"
*You could say* "It's to get medicine,"

*Pauses to raise his voice*
"for some-body important."

[Ecg]: "Well, are you going to let us in or not? If no, then it'd be kinda nice to know that _so that my traveling group/hunting party and I, we could find elsewhere to stay, aside from outside, after dark."

*Taps his foot somewhat impatiently*

Jake walks up next to Ecg. "Mages Avatar, Ecg, and Jake wishing permission to enter." "yes sers." the keeper answered, opening the gate. "Don't need to lie to our own troops, Ecg." "he said, walking in.

[Ecg Unagi]: "Well, my da's a privateer, from [an] outlying region... how am I supposed to know that?" he says to Jake.
*Walking ahead, to catch up.*

~Crow person?!~

[Crow]: }Awk!{
*Shuffles behind some crates & boxes, then a dirty and ruffled looking pilgrim-type traveler stands there in the bird-creature's place.*

"Well,_ what of it?" it says back. "If you're trying to climb the mountain,_ you'll need rope."
*Ducks behind the boxes, then flies away, as a bird again.*

[Ecg]: *Picks up a stray black feather, that has fallen*

"That,_ was a tengu; surprised what it'd be doing this far out, from the Islands, usually don't get those mainland here, I don't think. Where should we head to, now?"

"thats nice." Jake says, dragging Ecg in.

[Ecg]: *Gets too caught up in looking at all the different shops, to notice that the tengu feather gets blown out of his satchel, and carried off, far_ away*
"Wow, there_ are so many shops, here..."

[Ecg Unagi]: *arrives*

"Oh well... I've got what it was we came for. Now just to see that it makes it back okay. Left the medicine with Jake. It's up to him now."

*Exits frontgate*

"Hi, am I to be let back in again? Yes, that's alright with me."

*Ecg climbs over and scales the wall... he does not wish to wait for the gate-keepers to open the gate and the guards to let him through*
