*he pulls at the neck of his robes to reveal a strange dark mark on his neck which seems to glow strangely*

[Ezekiel] This was placed on me by my family

*looks at the mark, gentley touching it*


*frowns pulling his hand away quickly as if he's been burnt*


*in a strained voice* What can I do to help?

[Ezekiel] To my knowledge- nothing. I have carried this since I was a young child. It is slowly re-designing the person I am. That is why I came here to learn the art of illusion, the person you see is not my current appearance
*he plays with a slice of apple thoughtfully*
I fear it is a battle I am beggining to lose

*looks at you thoughtfully* is your current so bad that you have to hide it?

[Ezekiel] not.... exactly. I would just attract attention.... darker skin, whiter hair. Dark Elf breeding showing through *he smiles thinly*

Like your sister?

Ezekiel subbstaining this form is not doing you much good and zapping all your engery, you'd be better showing your true form at least until you have mastered your art. Although I have to say I don't agree with all this hiding, people here should except you for who you are.

*Ezekiel frowns*

[Ezekiel] My sister has pale skin..... she looks more like your 'wood elves'....I'm not sure that would be wise

Besides, it is not the illusions that drain me. It is the branding draining my powerto force me to stop fighting it

Well stop fighting it, and what will be will be. One things for sure, you can't carry on like this

[Ezekiel] I'm not sure you entirely understand.... this wont just change the way I look.... *he waves a hand over the table and it seems to change into a mirror showing a small family argument* It will change my personality and who I am, mould me to be more like my father. We never agreed. He is a pure dark elf... I have more of my mother in me than Alyssa or my older brother ..... my older brother is his pride and joy. A perfect blending giving him all the best traits both breeds. My mother is human *he smiles thinly*

surely if you are more like your mother?......

*Ezekiel frowns slightly*

[Ezekiel] Let me explain better. I am trying to tell the end of story without telling you the beggining. When I was born I was much weaker than my brother. My father was dissapointed in me, but mother feared for me. My mother.... let us say my parents marriage is an unhappy one. He took me to a sorceress, who attempted to put a charm on me to heighten my powers. It worked, infact it worked so well the sorceress ended up drained of her powers. I had greater power, which pleased my father... but he still good not stand my personality. He didnt like how I was. My older brother despises me also, and he suggested a binding spell. A spell that would bring out my elf side and bury my human nature. That is what this is. It turns the elf blood in my against my human side and..... it spreads through me like a malicious disease.

When I was younger and my body was still developing it did alot of damage, but I learnt to fight it..... however, its starting to drain my will more and more.

*he passes a hand over the table again and it turns back to normal*

The white stripes in my hair are the work of this, if you hadnt guessed. My temper is growing shorter too I think *he frowns again and rubs his forehead* There is no way to undo what has already been done, but I am hoping there is a way to slow it atleast or stop it progressing...

There is always a way to remove what should not be there


*places his hand flat over the mark*

*the mark glows and starts to get red hot as if some self-defense mechanism is kicking in. Ezekiel winces and leaps up moving a hand to touch it then pulling it away instinctively. He smiles weakly*

[Ezekiel] Do not think I havent tried what I can

*he looks about and blushes slightly sitting down quickly realising hes drawing attention*

[Ezekiel] *quietly* perhaps this is not the best place for a private conversation...

*looks at the palm of his hand thoughtfully*


where would you suggest?

*Ezekiel turns and gazes out the window thoughtfully*

[Ezekiel] This place is always so busy...

*he looks down sadly at the table then seems to snap out of the daze. He rubs his forehead self conciously and pushes himself to his feet again*

Perhaps we should see if there is a quiet corner of the courtyard while the weather is nice?

*gets up still looking at his palm*

[Ezekiel] Well then.... *he turns and makes his way throught the dining hall to the courtyard*
