*wolf thinks in response to the telepathic message*
~~I don't need more power, I have all the power one man could ever need. The hard part is not getting the power, it's knowing when not to use it. Who are you?~~
The Avery
Khamsin Posted Oct 10, 2004
~~*voice* you will find that out in time... but I promise you, you can be more powerful than you are with things I could show you.. more powerful than Lycan~~

~~I'm already more powerful than Lycan. I have powers the people here could never imagine. As I said before, it's not using my power that is the hard part~~
The Avery
Khamsin Posted Oct 10, 2004
~~*voice* oh so you could destroy the world at a whim could you? recreate nature in your image... I think not, I knw these powers and have been been here since before your family~~

*wolf looks down at her*
[Wolf] I'm carrying on a telepathic conversation with a being offering me the power to destroy the world and remake it in my image, I think he's getting me confused with Lycan in that respect, but it's fun anyway
~~No, no I couldn't do that, but I can turn whole townships into my slaves and I can rip people into itty bitty pieces. I don't think I'd like the power you're offering, I mean sure it'd be ok for a while, but after the novelty wore off all I'd have would be a nice castle, hords of troops at my command and every piddling peasant with a grudge trying to do me in. And what about the heroes, I can't be having with hoard of heroes turning up on my doorstep trying to overthrow me and free the people from my tyranical rule. No, I'm sure it'd be fun for a while but then it would become tedious~~

*Feels his forehead.* No fever...
Well, when strange voices talk to you in your head, I find it the best idea to be careful what they're telling you to do...

*Wolf continues to grin*
[Wolf] It's not telling me to do anything, it's just offering me this power
The Avery
Scandrea Posted Oct 10, 2004
It sounds like it just made you what thieves call "an offer you can't refuse." Which of course, means you should refuse it.
Think, Wolf! If a voice all of a sudden just starts in your head, offering you power but not telling you what you'll have to give up to get it, chances are it's too much!
What sort of power?

[Wolf] As I siad, the power to destroy the world and remake it in my image. Now personally I think it'd get boring once the innitial novelty wore off

*Wolf looks at her awaiting a responce, and, getting none continues*
[Wolf] well, don't you agree? I mean sure it's be ok for a while, but it'd get tedious really quickly, what with heroes trying to overthrow me, and I mean there are only so many different permutations on how you can make the world...
The Avery
Scandrea Posted Oct 11, 2004
*Laughs, finally realizing that Wolf is kidding*
Glad you see things my way! That kind of power comes at a price, and I wouldn't want you to have to pay that!

[Wolf] Of course it comes with a price. It can be easy to gain power, it's knowing how, and when, to use that power that is hard
The Avery
Scandrea Posted Oct 11, 2004
I would be afraid to have that kind of power...too afraid I would misuse it.

[Wolf] Oh I'm not afraid I'd misuse it. I /know/ I'd misuse it. Anyone with that kind of power would missuse it, just using power like that is misusing it

Scandrea Posted Oct 11, 2004
True, even if you were setting out to make things better, it would be difficult not to make things worse...

[Wolf] Better or worse according to who? And any way, that's not the important thing. What gives any of us the right to make it anything?
