Hi Bob,
(Haven't checked on the condition of my ties yet)
>>Put Roman words into italics (e.g. mansios, tabernae, caupoae...)<<
All the times or just the first mention an then not after after the first mention
All the times, I think

Hi Bob,
There are quite a few links you could put in, for example there is an EGE on Bath.
w.r.t. para 1: As I said above, there is some repetition. Suggest:
'Travellers would also need sufficient money to pay the various tolls along the way. the Fosse Way started in Exeter, Devon - Iscia Dumnonioru, from where it travels north east to Lincoln - Lindum. As it continued north, the Fosse Way ends in Lincoln, where it joins Ermine Street where travellers continued their journey north through Owmby and south through Ancaster - Cavsennae. This would suggest trade goods entered Roman Britain from southern end of this major thoroughfare and were distributed throughout Britain, and on to the rest of the Roman world.'

It is interesting to note that the longest distance between any points on the journey is the 23 miles (less than one day's travel) between Exeter and Honiton. As wagons and carts could be as slow as 8 miles a day. >

Hi Bob, I've started reading now and will post what I've noted so far and then come back later when I find the time to read more:
(1. footnote): on each side of thair roads. - their
The road runs south from Exeter in Devon north to Lincoln in Lincolnshire, - that doesn't really make sense to me, maybe write something like: The road runs from Exeter in Devon in the south to Lincoln in Lincolnshire in the north.
Ancaster - Cavsennae. Is that one and the same place, or two different places?
Roman Britain from southern end - from the southern end
and on to the rest of the Roman world - missing a fullstop after world. Dumb question, but what was the rest of the Roman world, olr where was it?
Fosse Way has one clear starting point; - point:
Exeter, - A Roman Legionary Fortress, founded by the II legion in 46 AD, in a riverside settlement of the Dumnonii - A clearly well placed settlement as the town flourished and developed into a prosperous town and a port. -
Exeter: a Roman Legionary Fortress, founded by the II legion in 46 AD in a riverside settlement of the Dumnonii. A clearly well-placed settlement, as the town flourished and developed into a prosperous town and port.
But the Fosse Way has in one place two routes; - However, in one place, the Fosse Way splits into two routes:
Route 1 the north eastern; Exeter - Honiton / Hembury - Ham Hill - Ilchester - Shepton Mallet - Camerton - Bath. - Route 1 (north-eastern): Exeter- Honiton / Hembury - Ham Hill - Ilchester - Shepton Mallet - Camerton - Bath. (Is Hembury another name for Honiton, or is it a different place?)
Route 1 the eastern; Exeter - Honiton / Hembury - Axminster - Ham Hill - Ilchester - Shepton Mallet - Camerton - Bath. - Route 2 (eastern): Exeter - Honiton / Hembury - Axminster - Ham Hill - Ilchester - Shepton Mallet - Camerton - Bath.

Hello Bob, I'd suggest you put the Latin name in brackets then, as I find it confusing as it is.
This would look like this then: Ancaster (Cavsennae)
You still don't mention what the 'rest of the Roman Empire' comprises of.
You haven't changed the last points (except for correcting the road number), I'd suggest you write them like this:
Exeter: a Roman Legionary Fortress, founded by the II legion in 46 AD in a riverside settlement of the Dumnonii. A clearly well-placed settlement, as the town flourished and developed into a prosperous town and port.
However, in one place, the Fosse Way splits into two routes:
Route 1 (north-eastern): Exeter- Honiton / Hembury - Ham Hill - Ilchester - Shepton Mallet - Camerton - Bath. (Is Hembury another name for Honiton, or is it a different place?)
Route 2 (eastern): Exeter - Honiton / Hembury - Axminster - Ham Hill - Ilchester - Shepton Mallet - Camerton - Bath.
You haven't explained about the Honiton/Hembury, either.

Bob.
What about the other points then?
And I see that in the Watford Street entry (nice blob, btw) you have the latin names in brackets, so I can't see why you wouldn't do it here.
