I come here to praise Powderfinger - one of the finest bands to come out of Australia in recent years, and the best to hail from Brisbane...er...ever! But sadly (like so many Antipodean artistes) they're little known in the greater world, although that may now be on the turn with the release of Vulture Street, their fifth album, and a tour of European and US venues and festivals. There's even an edited guide entry (A701551) on them.
