A Very amusing article.

After searching , I couldn't find any other references to this meaning of "Hong Fu" anywhere.

Could you support this article as demonstrably reality based in some way?

It's one of those chicken and egg things. People I know do use the term in conversation and practice Hong Fu as defined in the entry, but it probably isn't known about outside North London. And nobody's said anything about it on the Internet, which is probably why it's not known much about outside North London.

are you suggesting it is a new term recently invented by the writer?

It's a fair assumption to make, although in this case a false one... I first heard it used over 10 years ago by some people I met (no real idea how long they'd been using it) and it struck me as being so apt a term for what it was defining that I started using it. It then caught on with my mates, their mates, their mates' mates and so on.

It is worth pointing out that just because you can't find references to something on the Internet doesn't mean it doesn't exist - working in Leeds just over a year ago I came across a lovely verb common in the sport of Rugby League that I'd never heard used in that way before.

"To banjo" - meaning to clobber someone with such extreme force that you hear the sound make as the impact takes place - a sound not entirely dissimilar to somebody (possibly in a cartoon or a three stooges film) being thumped with a banjo.

The turning point of the 2003 Super League Grand Final was when Biran Carney, Wigan's most effectve player until that point, was banjo'd by Leon Pryce of the Bradford Bulls.

But I suspect that you'd struggle to find many references to banjoing on the Internet.

Come to think of it, I might have a go at that one for my next entry...

Banjoing is a pongo term - generally it means to adversely effect the workability of the intended subject.
