I trust it if it has credible sources listed. Just because anybody can edit it doesn't mean its going to be wrong. Theres page editors responsible for deleting graffiti and spam and preventing the page from being vandalized.

I like your reasoning! I was allowed to use it as a reference as an undergraduate but not when doing my PGCE!

I trust it...but for references I never use it. For one the information on it is hardly static a lot of times and not everyone trusts to accuracy as anyone can edit it...sometimes I use it as a jumping point to find other stuff though

i used it as an undergrad to give the initial meaning or definition of a topic i was doing an essay on. it was only ever in the introduction but was allowed
