My sportdaq user ID is 3670, and whats this about fans of clubs Peter Reid has managed being booted out ??, He 'Arguably' had his best spell with us (Sunderland), even though it went the way of the pear for the last few years !

Never mind, he's still a legend smiley - cheers

He was the only manager hapy to have his photo taken with me the one time I got into the BBC Sports Personality of the Year after-show party.

George Burley and David O'Leary were arses. AND they were out of work at the time.

Sounds about right smiley - ok, when we got promoted to the premier league the 1st time (1996), the team had a parade through the city that ended by the coast at a place called the seaburn centre, anyway there were thousands of people there, but me and my mates were quite near the front, the team and him were on a balcony just infront and we threw cans of beer and our scarfs at them, and my mate Andy threw a can, which he caught, and drank !

Just thought id share that nugget with you !smiley - erm

i can't imagine aulas drinking a beer with us (out of a shaken up can or otherwise)... but he's brought us from D2 to 3 straight titles (a fourth on the way, eat cake monaco!) and a CL quarterfinal over the last decade. i've got his picture on the dining room wall may all he saints in heaven and hell preserve him!

Basically she needs to be English.

When I met Peter Reid he seemed a nice bloke - happy to talk football, strong opinions, and some good stories - but he was a crap manager. He was still living in Bolton, didn't come to reserve games, and only took training twice a week. Put more effort into his BBC job - probably why he's still got it.

Now Jimmy Hill stood on the doorstep of the team coach and talked to us all as we walked out of Sunderland around the team coach, and told the coppers to let us be.

That sounds about right smiley - ok

It's something that comes through in his punditry a bit - he doesn't really come across as one of the game's deep thinkers, does he? I could be wrong, but one gets the impression his managerial style never really got very far beyond "Get stuck in and give it 110%".

No I was holding shares in Gordon Strachan for the dividend period. After a short delay due to a technical hitch, he paid out big time. The yield with the day trading element included was close to 300%!
