Not really that surprising, except for maybe Mexico getting in ahead of the USA. Means that whichever group gets Holland and/or the Americans will undoubtedly be the infamous "GROUP OF DEATH", not that the tabloids wheel out that old chestnut every time a draw for anything ever is made. Oh no.

Still I personally would not really fancy such a group.
Basically I am hoping that we avoid Holland and Czech Republic. I fancy us to win (or at least be runner up) in any other group makeup.

I'm hoping for a match against one of the African nations, simply because I've been shafted by the Englandfans club (been to all the home qualifiers, one away, and a load of friendlies, yet have to enter a ballot with people who joined on deadline day on the off chance of getting a ticket they can sell on ebay) and there aren't going to be many Togo fans going to Germany, or many Germans wanting to see Togo meaning the black market will be flooded and I might get a ticket for less than a term's worth of fees.
Other than that, I'll be happy to avoid the Dutch, Americans or Czechs, although if we're going to do well we will have to beat teams like those three at some point.

Not because I think they are good, but because of the cultural almost derby nature of the tie I would really like to avoid the Aussies.
You can guarentee they wouild raise their game loads if the play us.

Surely England at full pelt would dispose of the Aussies?
Especially if Rooney turns up? No matter who England get, they should get through to the knock-out stages pretty comfortably. That's when the fun starts.
Will Sven have them practising penalties?

So tell me how come Mexico are in there ahead of Portugal, and Holland, and Czech Republic ?
In fact the US of A only just missed out.
Doubtless playing the mighty Bermuda, Costa Rica and British Honduras is worth more points than playing Sweden, or Switzerland or Poland.
Its madness really - England second favourites ?
