I say chaps, when is the next meet-up? I'm afraid I will still be in America in July and won't get across the water until mid-August or so. I would like to attend at least one of these things while I am in Europe.

The next big meet should be sometime in January. However, mini meet ups are often arranged when a researcher happens to be visiting somewhere.

Why not put an announcement of your dates and locations here: A435791 see who drops by the thread and arrange a meet around that. A lot of people are subscribed to the page so your thread will appear on their home pages by but you could publicise it in some of your conversations or or your own home page.

Well, wat ho, I say, chaps, a meet Mid August sounds like a spiffing idea to me If we can get enough people, I've the details of the pub we normally use in London, and they seem pretty easy going to us booking their 'bottom bar' for free, though we'd have to ensure it didn't clash with football; I think they tend to have a big TV screen down in the bottom bar when they've the footy on Of course, there isn't any need to have it in London, unless of course thats where you are going to be; if there isn't too* many people, we've just decended on bars unawares before, rearranged the furnature to give us our own space and done it that way Whereabouts in teh UK you going to be when you get over?

In fact, my ultimate destination is Tartu, Estonia (a place that the hootoo will be finding out a great deal about as a result) but I am considering the feasibility of flying to London and traveling by alternate routes the rest of the way. Anyone happen to know anything about this by the way? If I can get to Warsaw I will be set, as there is a Baltic Ekspress Train between Warsaw and Tallinn.
