A Conversation for How do I...?
...find high schoolers?

I've decided that amongst the many societies present on H2G2 there is a lack. I feel it calling. the lack, the lack... Oh well. Yeah. There are a whole bunch of people (myself included) who are of that tender age known as high school, and we are not represented. So, the question is, how do I find these people, (admittedly this is an attempt), and get them to http://www.h2g2.com/A271621 ?
Also - forgive my ignorance - I'm not familiar with school terminology in Britain, would someone help me out here?
thanks! -io-

Hmmmm.
I think that what you call highschool is rougly equivalent to the UK's highschool *and* sixth form college. Sixth form college is an optional two-year thing for people who intend to go to university. (Erm... that is, it's optional in the sense that it isn't compulsory. If you want to go to university, though, you have to go to 6th form college first).
Highschool in the UK is for ages 11-12 to 16-17; 6th form college is for 16-17 to 18-19.
Depending on whether you decide to include 6th-form-college-people (which is what I currently am) I may or may not be heading down to that page of yours later on .
Hope this helps...

When I figure out how to work it, feel free to join. In the mean time thinking how I can do this... Thanks.

Well, posting here is bound to find a few people of highschool age... other than that, you could just hang around in various forums... if you like what someone says, visit their homepage (by clicking on their name) and invite 'em along...

Eeerm.
Not for 18-19 year olds.
Finished before your 19th birthday (unless you are irrideemably thick).
I am still 18 and at University.
Get it?

By 18-19 I meant between 18 and 19 years old... that is, after your 18th birthday and before your 19th.
You might have noticed that the years were overlapping; I'd define University as being started when you're 18-19.
Just because everyone else uses a daft system for ages doesn't mean I have to! Rounding everything *down* is a no good way to figure...
As it happens, I'm 15 and at college - there's always one, eh?

Umm.
I would start looking at a high school. If you want them to go to your page, just write it on a peice of paper.
Okay, seriously. Don't look for high school aged people online. It's a good way to attract pediphiles, or worse. I could say I was going to high school right now, except my morals keep me from doing that sort of thing.
Besides it much more fun just to find people with similar interests as you, and talk about them. It doesn't really matter how old the other person is or what they are doing with the rest of their life.

Very true... but being the same sort of age is often a good start... and being about to moan about common hardships (and fellow highschool-goers are bound to have plenty of those) is always a good way to get a conversation started...

Be careful.
You may just think you got what you asked for.

Added to which, the fact that to join h2g2 you have to supply a valid e-mail address means that, in fact, we're a pretty select crowd .
And we're all great people anyway, of course.

You know, I keep trying to make it sound like I'm not a complete asshole, and I'm not having much luck.
