Two-for-Tuesday (in Japan) special:
"The Valkyrie at my side is shouting and laughing with the pure, hateful, bloodthirsty joy of the slaughter... and so am I."
"I had a fight with some cops."
"Didn't happen to kill any of them, did you?"
"Not that I know of...but they know they been in a fight, that's for damn sure."

Nighthoovered?
"What the hell do you know..."
"I know it's pretty damn weird to eat people."
"The night's as hot as hell. It's a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town - I'm staring at a goddess. She's telling me she wants me. I'm not going to waste one more minute wondering how I've gotten this lucky. She smells like angels ought to smell, the perfect woman... the Goddess. Goldie. She says her name is Goldie."
"Modern cars - they all look like electric shavers."

I'm guessing 'nighthoovered' as in 'left' (as the great prophet nighthoover had done many years ago price bee).
Glad to see you're still around, Jack!
Oh, and I have NO idea what the movie is.
And what's up with the title?
Lounge Forty-Two iƒnƒCƒLƒoIj
HAIKEEBA! Posted Oct 12, 2005
The title says "haikeeba!" in Japanese. (katakana) Might not display properly on your computator but it looks on mine so .
Hmmm...Well, it's a 'new'-ish movie... but it's on DVD in the U.S. anyway. Or so I've heard. It's just now coming to Japanese movie theaters.
"An old man dies. A young girl lives. A fair trade. "
"You shut the hell up, Jackie-Boy. You're dead. I'm just imagining this, so shut the hell up."
"Tells you somethin 'bout your state o' mind, don't it?"
"And after I pull off that miracle, maybe I'll go punch out God."

I would say that's got a Quentin Tarantino movie feel to it, but since he actually _did_ direct part of it, I guess that's why.
...although I can't tell which part he directed. I've heard it's obvious
Oh well.

The movie was 'Sin City' by the way.

Grah! I only saw that not long ago! I would have got it from "an old man dies, a young girl lives"
You never gave me a chance
Personally, I found it very very heavy I liked the bruce willis bit, because I think hes a very good actor. But it got so ing violent! I mean I can take violence but come ON! I wanted to see it because it was in film noir, and I liked that. It was just *strong*

Yeah, the movie itself was *okay* but the visual style was AWESOME. Very nice use of CGI. And I respect Rodriguez for doing it right and even dropping out of the Director's Guild so he could give Frank Miller equal credit.
Well, Jack... I'm sure no one would mind if you picked the next quote.

What's 'Amedeto'? I thought it was 'Arigato' at first glance, which made no sense, but which at least I know...
>Logic-in-Context-Device activated!<
Hm, I'm guessing 'Amedeto gozaimas' is something like 'well done'?
