Actually, that's him. (At least in the dvd version I have.) Enter the Dragon is the only Hollywood film he made and it's all English.
Good job by the way!
Your turn N.C.
(You know you have it right, just pick..don't wait for me.)

Well while we're waiting for NC to bless us with the next quote the other night I saw a pretty messed up Japanese gameshow. They had these
super hot models take turns having a big metal washtub dropped on their heads. They had to take it smiling and not flinch at all. When they show any pain or stop smiling or flinch at all they are out. The one who could take the tub dropped on her head from the highest position won. The winner took it from 2.5 meters up. (Her name is YinLin of Joy Toy, a famous gravure idol here.) Freefall. After that they had some other wonderfully painful and degrading things for them to do that this post just can't do justice. I was totally disgusted...But I couldn't turn away.
Went to my "agent's" house. I call him my agent because he helps me with various things, he helped set up my job here. He thinks he's samurai so he gave me the tea ceremony which was really extrememly very cool. Normally at gatherings at people's houses I feel kinda lost but for this I was in my element as I've seen tea ceremony so many times in movies and it actually is exactly the same.
Seeing all those Mifune Toshiro movies makes it real easy to deal with my pseudo-samurai agent and he delights in sharing his ways with this
unusually enlightened gai-jin.
*Looks around for NC*
Saa...abayo!

!
I was in a tea ceremony once, about ten years ago or so - there's a Japanese Christian sect called Makoya that are all about the Holy Land, who have a house in Jerusalem, and I went there with a Japanese Culture class (the circumstances of me taking this class are too long and not all that interesting). Incredibly interesting. I love how it all looks like a complex dance, from the setting to the actual drinking.

Yes...throughout history when the Japanese weren't busy killing each other they passed the time making mundane events extrememly complex, graceful, and beautiful.

That sounds awesome.
I would love to hear about other local customs, festivals, rituals, etc. from the regular readers out there. What may be mundane to you, may be beyond imagination to me. And if Haikeeba would be so kind as to allow that forum in his lounge from time to time, that would be great!
