Well, the content looks good, but let's see if we can make it easier to read by getting rid of all those GuideML tags shall we? If you open up the entry editor by clicking on the 'Edit entry' button and go to the space below the text box you should see two radio buttons marked 'Plain text' and 'GuideML', and a button marked 'Change style'. Make sure the GuideML button is selected and hit the button - that should format it properly

Good entry - especially once you've taken Gosho's advice about those tags.
No mention of their influence on other musicians?
I especially like the great tribute song by the SawDoctors "I'd like to bang the Bangles"

Looks ggod to me
I would change this sentence - "The well-documented story of the Bangles began in the December of 1980" - I'd lose the well-documented bit - this is your write up, and why would people be interested in any other ?

thanks for the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it. I'll definitely put something in about influence on others.
About the darn XML stuff - XML *is* turned on, and it looks fine as a preview, but the published item is showing the code. Presumably there's an error with the code that I haven't spotted.

Could be, but if there's an error, you'll get a message saying 'Error in GuideML', and some red text in the code suggesting what it might be. You may also not be able to update the entry if there's an error.
I'll cut and paste the code into an entry of my own and see what happens.

Can you remove the first as it's not needed - the title forms the first header.
It'd also look better if you changed all the subheaders to headers throughout.
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
