This is a brief outline of Grant's Military life, leading up to his time in the Whitehouse and then up to the day he died.

It would be good to have more biographical details and a bit of introduction to put him in his historical context. Don't forget that many non-Americans will not have heard of him. You could put something in the title to give a clue. Some great information is here:

Again, its good, but its too brief - so much could be said about Grant, his allies - both during and after the war - his generalship - was he good ? or did he just have a bigger army ?

TLG, you still working on this? Planning to fix it up. I think it has the potential to be good, but some more could be said. Also, you don’t need the capitals. Planning to make changes?

This entry needs a lot of work. It seems to assume that the reader already has heard of Ulysses Grant and that the reader is in America. It starts with the sentence:

"By the end of the civil war Grant was the North's most successful General..."

To me, the civil war happened in 1922-23 and the North has Belfast as its capital. You've fallen into the trap of assuming the reader is the same sort of person as you. Start by saying:

"Ulysses Grant was a general in the American army during the American Civil War (18xx - 18xx)." Continue on from there.

Yes, but instead of "American army" I would probably say "Union army" or "the North's army".

Well, TLG seems to have left the building, so I propose moving this to the Flea Market, along with all the other ACW entries.
