smiley - laugh 'other half' must be one of those Ukian weirdnesses... I never thought of it before.

Heard of your 'better half'? The superior portion of a couple. It is used all the time here. Maybe footnote it, GB?

I've updated with all suggestions except other/better half, have changed to "partner" to cover all eventualities; "daylight" I'm not an engineer, and am not sure peeing in daylight is a good ideasmiley - erm

Leo, can you clirify what you want me to change in the quote,
>>Well perhaps not quite that much enthusiasm, but as a procedure it's not a trauma either.

- well perhaps *not* with...?

I've emphasised the "not" by reversing the italics tags but I don't get the significance, sorry.

>>peeing in daylight<<

smiley - laugh no, not that exactly - it's just that any kind of pipe or conduit that eventually surfaces is said to reach daylight.

don't mind me. smiley - smiley

It's just that there's no subject for the sentence "perhaps not that much enthusiasm" What's not that much enthusiasm? Who shouldn't have it? Or what? It's ambiguous.

You've pulled the sentence out of context, if you read it from the start of the personal quote you'll get itsmiley - ok

No, I still don't. Not unless there's a "with"
eg: "with that much enthusiasm" meaning You shouldn't have one with so much enthusiasm. Unless he's talking about his own enthusiasm, in which case it would get more complicated, like "I highly recommend one! Well, perhaps not quite with that much enthusiasm..."

Does anyone else see this problem? I don't know what it's called or anything, so if nobody else has a problem, I'll subside, but it sure is bugging me.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
