Hi GB Nice article.

Thanks
Unfortunately I can't link to your journal, but if you can write a blockquote to describe your experience with the catheter I'll add it and credit you

What did you think of the para on male plumbing? Kinda kills the romance, don't you reckon?

What - you don't think I've *read* it yet, do you? I have taste! Right now it's chocolate. And I'd like to keep it that way, bile-free.

>>Collect a urine sample and take it along to your medical practitioner for testing.
- presumably you mean, "If you see anything suspicious, collect a urine sample and take it along to your medical practitioner for testing." And not, "After reading this jolly entry, just grab a sample and go, as a field trip."
>>Situated inside the scrotum is the vas deferens
- you get pretty detailed about the location, but I don'tknow what it is or what it does. Is it tubing? Piping?
Female plumbing paragraph 1: relevency?

It's a tube, I've added that
Relevance: urinary tract infections can cause haematuria. (added)
Have some more you deserve it for reading the first couple of paras

Just a quickie - shouldn't urinary tract infection now also be under "Causes"?
Aside: have you ever thought of doing cheerful, non-clinical entries, like say about the bubonic plague, or medieval biological warfare?

Cheerful, non-clinical entries?
You mean you don't like A11102699 ? But it's so much fun I did write A14310569 but even that includes a inflicted vasectomyI wonder what a psychologist would make of me
Ooh, yes, A13346066 ( blood & stains & messy sexual activity in that too)
I'm starting to worry now
Can we go wrong with A21989901 ? Mmm, mention of "grave, open wounds" in that too
A nature Entry! A12945017 toad-bashing? Choose your weapons, free for corpses...
oh oh oh! Found one! A9559678 absolutely nothing bad in that, except for total unadulterated nakedness and flashing.
I think I need to book myself some therapy sessions. Thanks for the prod, Leo

"Cystitis: Infection of the urinary system (tract)" is already there, between "Testicular disorders" and "Cancer"

I just printed this out to read tomorrow - usually I would read it over lunch, but perhaps not in this case.
I'm due to have my ears stapled to my head - I'll plan to read it then.
( - oh, btw, glad to see beeturia is included )

They're that big? Coo-ee. Take a photo.
>>The only way to get through a cystoscopy (or any other kind of painful treatment or examination) is:
- They don't offer to knock you out at all?
>>Get your other half to pamper you
- Is that your significant other, or do you have multiple personality disorder?
>>Well perhaps not quite that much enthusiasm, but as a procedure it's not a trauma either.
- well perhaps *not* with...?
>>local anasthesia
- you didn't mention this option earlier
Otherwise looks good.

Well, very good after all. I admit to being doubtful, but there you are - some people can make anything interesting. Good teamwork
>>leading from the bladder to the point of exit<<
An engineer would typically say 'daylight' instead of 'the point of exit' - well, I would anyway - perhaps no one else I'll just keep reading, shall I?
>>Label your sample with your name and the date<<
May I pedantically suggest labeling your *bottle* - and also, where does one keep the bottle while waiting to leave for the doctor? This reminds me, btw, of a story told to me once involving a sample kept in a gatorade bottle - you are probably correctly imagining what happened.
'other half' does sound odd. Maybe if hyphenated: 'other-half'
Speaking of hyphens, does 'just boiled' need one too?
Well, I guess someone has to say it:
Bloody good!
