A Conversation for Talking Point: Is Progress Over-rated?

Progress?

Post 1

The idea of progress is 19th century. We still live with the outcome of that choice. What are we progressing toward? How will we know when we've reached it?

We've got a marvellously technological world and our bodies aren't going to adapt to it for several thousand years. We have to take more care of our physical selves if we're to gain the most benefit from our intellectual triumphs.

We need to change society from the ground up. The knowledge is out there; where is the will to do this? People need to be personally driven to change before they'll embrace it.
