There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Spring is much in evidence here in south central Texas - the Bluebonnets are out http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/wildseed/39/39.5.html

And all my early season blooming cacti (Rebutia, Gymnocalycium) have flower buds on them smiley - biggrin

As a former resident of south central Texas, I miss the bluebonnets.

I have hyacinths, daffodils, a summer magnolia and forysthia in bloom. And my almond tree is just beginning to blossom. The peach and nectarine should blossom within the week. And the tulips are up and nearly large enough to bud. smiley - biggrin

Spring is awesome.

Gosho, I'm from Missouri, and am living there now. But my husband was transerred to Texas on his job and we were there for 20 years. We were in Beaumont for 3 years, in Tyler for 3 years and in San Antonio for the rest of the time. His territory covered the area from Austin west to the border and from Corpus Christi north to around Johnson City. We moved back to Missouri in '92, so it's been a while.

I miss the bluebonnets, the mild winters, and San Antonio in general. It's a great city. I would have been content to stay there forever. But my mom needed help with my dad - he developed Alzheimer's - and I was the only one of my siblings who could relocate. So I'm back home. Which pretty much is the middle of nowhere. smiley - laugh

But we have glorious springs here.
