Now that all the Division 1 matches have been played, the play-off picture becomes clearer [ ]
Crystal Palace v Sunderland
Ipswich v West Ham
Hartlepool v Bristol City
Swindon v Brighton & Hove Albion
Lincoln City v Huddersfield
Northampton v Mansfield
Note. There is talk of some of these games being played on FRIDAY 14th May, so I'd advise getting your predictions in sooner rather than later. I will of course come back and post the official thread closing time when the fixture dates have been confirmed
And as always, the best of luck to you all

I'll post some predictions later, but can I just say: Did anyone else see Jeff Stelling's furry monkey on sky sports news yesterday?

Did he get it out again then? Because I thought you were at the Leeds game when Hartlepool secured the playoff place?

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted May 9, 2004
He had it just as I was putting my trainers on before I went to the match. Right at the start of Soccer Saturday wasn't it?

Oh, I didn't see the start. When the hartlepool result came in, and they were guaranteed a playoff place, he whipped it out from under the table, held it aloft and shook it, going "YES!!!!! They've done it! Fantastic!" while Rodney MArsh et al had hysterics in the background.

I don't know, the thread's less than 20 minutes old and already it's full of topic drift
By the way, what on earth are you talking about

Sky Sports NEws live latest-scores-and-results show is presented by Hartlepool fan Jeff Stelling. Yesterday, if reuslts went the right way, Hartlepool would get a division 2 playoff place. Things went the right way, they got a playoff place, and Jeff celebrated by whipping his monkey out- Hangus the Monkey,a small, cuddly replica of Hartlepool's Mayor and football mascot, Hangus the Monkey (because of the old Monkey Hanging thing). Apparently he had already whipped little Hangus out earlier in the show while psyc was watching but I wasn't. Clear?

Oh right. So this is the sort of thing I miss out on in not handing over cash to Murdoch then. Hmmm...

egon Posted May 9, 2004
You don't have to hand over money to Murdoch. Sky Sports News is on freeview.

Not on my version it isn't
But then again, I haven't really explored much of what Freeview will do, other than finding out which button is for BBC4, so it might be there.
