A Conversation for Talking Point: Do Looks Matter?
In my opinion...

Yup, people certainly place too much emphasis on looks nowadays. But I don't think that there is somebody out there, who will go on a date with anyone who's physical appearance doesn't fit his/her taste. The partner can be terribly clever, but there is just no chance that you could get into a romantic relationship with that person, if he/she - in your opinion - is 'not handsome'.
It is not impossible, that one may find a human down here on Ye Olde Earth who is good looking and is not a neanderthal man/woman. And I guess that's the kind you can fall in love with. You can go out on a date with the "Nice-But-Arse" kind, but there is just no chance that one can love him/her.
Looks will fade away with time, and the only thing left will be the huge, empty place in the head.
So I think that looks ARE important, but personality is the #1 factor.
And also I don't think that beauty equate with happiness. I can't really know that though, I'm just commenting things I see.
