That's close enough for me. The commercial artist C. Reginald Dalby created Peppy the polar bear in 1922, and in the 1950s became the most popular illustrator of the Thomas books (even though Rev Awdry didn't like him). Not much more to say about this one. The Fox’s polar bear was so popular that, in the 1920s, Fox’s commissioned someone to kill and stuff a real polar bear, which was used for advertising at public events. I wonder what would happen if they tried that now?
Dalby’s Thomas pictures were popular for many years, though the writer hated them because they lacked engineering detail.
