Rattus rattus is, I believe, a specific species, and I believe that species to be the common brown rat.
The coffee bean cat is the civet (I already knew that, even if it is in the entry... I assume it's in the entry!) although lots of animals are 'used' nowadays.

It's not a panda is it?

I was so sure that gorilla was right, I didn't bother reading any further. Missed the klaxon for ape. 1 metre, 100kg, jungle dwelling mammal. Tapir. Capybara. Um. Really fat Guinea Pig.

hygienicdispenser Posted Mar 2, 2010
Again Missed the klaxon for rodent, so not capybara. I'll stick with tapir. Or something porcine. Or ungulate.

A xenarthran (it's Greek for 'foreign joint, cos they have 8 vertebrae in their neck, instead of 7 like other mammals) is an anteater I think, and maybe some other kinda mammals.

I can't think of anything porcine that might be the Linnaean name. Boar. Swine. Nope.

+1 hd. My baby is a member of the pig family.
It is rare, and on the IUCN Red List.
May help to find where it lives.
(So I can get to give a few more klaxons)!!!

Too broad an area that. Try cutting down to one country. One that has a fair share of wild animals!!!
