As Sheds (Part One) went so quickly (though there are still unanswered sub-questions) I thought I'd crack straight into Sheds (Part Two). How do the sheds at Cardington link the deaths of around 50 women and children in Sumatra in the early 1940s, over a period of 2½ years
with
The sudden death of eight young men in Germany in the late 1950s (they weren't the only ones to die, but they're the ones people remember).

Spot on, as far as it goes. The Japanese occupied Sumatra.

Ok then perhaps it goes like this...
Busby babes connect with Busby, busby was old enough to serve in WWII and was sent to Sumatra on active service.
I know the Liverpool regiment went out into that area is that the connection.

I don't know, Bob, but it seems unlikely. Sumatra was a Dutch colony at the time, and quite frankly I have no idea who liberated it.
Anyway, the link must include the Cardington Sheds.

Oo, I think I know this one, so I won't spoil it, but I will say that you need to start with what make of plane crashed in Munich...
(And it's mentioned in the Edited Guide)

That doesn't seem like much of an insult to me, Taff. What was he getting up to in that second shed?

Wasn't the plane involved in the Munich Aircrash a DeHavilland?
Would the Sumatran airstrip have been run by DeHavilland at the time of the Japanese invasion?
Key: Complain about this post
