You specified work day and said it used to happen but not any more, so is it some kind of outdated working practice?
QI - The Bard masterbates
Taff Agent of kaos Posted Dec 5, 2008
it did happen on work days
it has not happened on a workday for many years
it was never a work practice

it stopped affecting millions in 1993

Well I think I know who you are talking about now:
Radio personality
Retired 1993
Master Bates
Is it the BBC Radio 1 presenter Simon Bates? The only thing I am now trying to work out is what he has got to do with Shakespeare.
