I'm a little worried now.

When I read this entry before, I had thought that there were to many references to "The Big Match a Trilogy in Two Parts", a pantomime which I suspect many will not have heard of (including me).

I just saw over in another thread (F48874?thread=366429&skip=5) that Shadowbane claims that he wrote the pantomime is question himself.

As I say, this worries me a little. Presumably there's no copyright problems, as Shadowbane wrote it, but I wonder whether the reliance on the panto in this entry rings of self promotion.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying it is self-promotion, just that I'm worried it might be. And whether that would be acceptable in the Guide, or if a re-write is needed to remove references to said panto. What does everyone else think? Am I being needlessly worried?

I didn't write it all by myself their was considerable input from the rest of Angry Imp productions. It will be more well known when it's published on our web site. We are firm belivers in granting free copywrite to whoever wants a copy for a charity performance. Any self promotion is entirly selfless as we don't get any money or praise for writing this stuff. I could change a few references however they are intended to highlight unconventional and inovative elements of Pantomime and "the Big Match" scripts are certainly unconventional. If anyone has any suggestions of pantos to mention to balance things up please give me them. Right now I'm going to log of and work on "Dick Whittingdon's Wonderful Treasure Island" (there's two stories you never thought could be combined!)

I have removed one reference to the afformentioned pantomime but I'm unable to find any other pantos with rapping narrators. If your so concerned about self promotion why don't you help me find one. It is important to remeber pantomime is everywhere and "alternative" stories rarely strike headlines or are heard of outside of the area they are performed in. With the exception of "Snow White and the Seven Asylum Seekers" which I belive was unfairly censored. As a supporter of good old Greg Dyke what are your feelings on this? By the way how do you put the amusing comments by your username like that?

There are a good number of typos in this entry still. Are you able to run it through a spellchecker? smiley - erm

If you want I can point a few out later, but you'll still need to do the corrections yourself.

This explores a lot of depth in the creation of the pantomime, and I was very pleased to see Shakespeare incorporated; his plays contain all the elements of great pantomime.

A very enjoyable piece which gives insight to the complexity of pantomime.

I don't particularly recall any necessity for dwarves to be ugly, or indeed (as originally described) 'gits' - the description just struck me as unneccessarily offensive.

smiley - huh You don't appear to have addressed all the points raised in post 29.

I don't mind if you disagree with any suggestions made in PR, but if you are not going to make changes it is best to note that you have considered them.

Possibly the updates you have made are not yet visible in the entry, but certainly there currently appear to be numerous " double-quotes that need to be replaced with ' single-quotes (in line with writing guidelines).

I'd like to know what you mean by 'dismals' if you are keeping that phrasing.
