London Afternoon Meeting - Preferred Venue?
MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship. Started conversation Aug 30, 2006
I have offered to organise an afternoon event for those who would prefer not to sit in an Hostelry all afternoon, which is both children friendly and suitable for wheelchairs and those with movement restrictions.
The two events that may be easiest to arrange are:
Kew Gardens
http://www.rbgkew.org.uk/
or
The London Wetland Centre
http://www.wwt.org.uk/visit/wetlandcentre/
I would be interested in who prefers which and will go with the majority. I have reasonable experience of both visiting Kew, on average, once a month, and having seen the Wetlands Centre grow from nothing, so I hope I'll prove a reasonbable guide.
Also, depending on numbers, I may be able to provide a warm meal for HooTooers attending, especially if Kew is chosen. I do have spare bins for the Wetland centre if needed.
Please let me know your choices, or any questions, queries, directions etc. you have.
Thank you.

Did you mean to stick this here? Or is this because the thought of being in a pub all day with, er, certain researchers might cause a panic?
(scares the willies out of me!)

Wasn't sure where to stick it, although I am sure plenty of HooTooers would be able to tell me. Hopefully 2Legs will 'stick' it somewhere more appropriate
