"And what is this which of which you say he has none, and who is it you refer to as lacking in this which?"
Come on Locotr, we're roasting you!
Maybe we should be nice. He might smite us

No! Try not. Do ... or do not. There is no try.

Ogden Nash wrote a poem about how a certain Senator Smoot was championing an antipornography bill. All you need to hear in order to know what Nash thought is the first line:
Smite, Smoot, for Smut!

No, really, did Nash REALLY write a poem about that?
Er, I'm trying to start a Quest on Damogran (the page of Her (currently absent) Royal Highness is at http://www.h2g2.com/A230545 for those of you who don't know) to find out about this totally uncharted area of Damogran. Is anyone here interested?

I've never really -gotten- Damogran, never quite understood it. Looks terrible complicated. So, I'll pass.

And you didn't answer my other question.

Who he? What poem?

Sorry Jedi Knight,
Yes, that really is the first line of a poem by Ogden Nash.
I'm afraid I can't join you on a quest; I am very busy looking after the Aroma Cafe in addition to my own establishment. Much of my online time is taken up by those two fora. Sorry.

A poem by Ogden Nash whose first line reads:
Smite, Smoot, for Smut!
because there really was a Senator Smoot who was trying to push an anti-porn bill through Congress. This would be back in the 40's I think.

Dizzy H. Muffin Posted Jun 6, 2000
Okay.
Then is there anyone else for the Quest? I'm patient...

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Jun 6, 2000
Ok, fine with the poem...
HEY, YOU GUYS! YOU WANNA JOIN YK'S QUEST?
