Sorry. Awful jokes a speciality.
BTW the Uni said they'd fixed the link to the e-mail address, so I guess they'll get round to my application.
Must go soon, I'm afraid. Have a good one.

Here's hoping. In the event of fine weather in Manchester (odds not computable) - enjoy the game.
BTW Peta has OKed the Baroque Music project, so I'll try to get started. Any advice you have to offer would be most welcome. Like: do I just wade in and put a "front page" in the Music Dept?

It was very showery, we got about half a day's play; read all about it in my journal if you can be bothered
Thats great about the baroque music. I think you just write your index page/front page and away you go...

Well, I still covet the half day's watching!
I'll make a start on the music later today.

My "start" on the music has consisted of calling up the people who wrote on Purcell and Handel, and going through a load of notes (no pun) I made. As well as being able to talk to someone about the "code" inside the Goldberg variations, I've found someone who leads a Baroque orchestra, and who has heaps of info. I'll try to get some of it on disk over the weekend, and then download it at my place next week. Hope you can wait 'til then.

Sounds like a Dirk Gently plot
Now, how many times have I broken continuity on h2g2?

Yes, it does, doesn't it. Good old Bach.
Don't mind the continuity, Joe, just don't break any of the cups and saucers!
*Prepares for a fresh morning brew. Pauses to examine visual evidence from Edinburgh, and decides to add (discreetly) Alka-Seltzers, soluble vitaminA tablets and paracetamol to the tray .... just in case ...*

Good morning! Actually I'm very pleased to say that although I knocked back several double Tiamaria & colas, I didn't have any hangover whatsoever when I woke up the next morning.

After the "odd sock in the washing machine" problem, the good old "looks like two photos left on the end of the film" is an enduring human quandary. It probably accounts for why there are so many photographs of potted plants. So there's my recommendation - anything except potted plants.
My congratulations to your digestive system. It certainly looked like a good party.
I will get something on the baroque music posted soon - honest I will. I've got notes, bits of things on disk, post-it notes in books .... must get past the chaos and into the synthesis stage. If something doesn't surface soon - please be my conscience and nag at me!
Not that I'm trying to change the subject, or anything, but how are your music and D&A articles coming along? (I confess I haven't looked at them for a bit). I'd love to refer to them from what I'm doing - there are all sorts of techniques that Purcell used in D&A, so it makes a great case study.
Anyhow - lovely to see you (both figuratively and literally) - tea on the way.

They're in the queue still. I imagine I'm waiting on some subeditor somewhere... But fingers crossed they should be approved before your project is...
I'm good at nagging people, though... *sips tea* you have been warned...
I used my last two pictures on our garden and my mother & grandma

I shall rely on you as a conscience. I'd love to promise that (of course) I'll do everything in plenty of time, but .....
Thanks - I'll be roping you in to review drafts as they take shape.
Hope the photos turn out OK. party photos tend to become less and less focussed as the event progresses. Had you noticed?
A last cuppa before RL drags me away.
Cheers, princess
