I've checked all two asterisks ** who've signed up during the last 24 hours - and I've done that every day since Monday, that's why I've used filter=noposting in the link above.

I usually check them all too ... there are lots from "yesterday" - I'll be doing some when I catch up on the blog.

I cleared them all last weekend. If the site wasn't so slow, it would have been manageable with the contribution of the new ACE's too..

I've just done a page, there's plenty left for others Aces to do.

Hmmm, I know it's just habit to say **, but there are no ** anymore, it's no star (no posting on PS) and one * (posting on PS)

Just thought this might be a little confusing to the new Aces.

trust Plain to be different, now there's a thought - do the pages load any quicker Plain skin Kristina?

on my way..

When I was still on dial-up connection from home, the Plain skin loaded faster yes. Now I use at w*rk since the Plain skin uses the Windows colour scheme - so a browser window has the same background and font colour as say Word or Excel... don't tell anyone! *looks over shoulder guiltily*

I tried Plain, it didn't seem to load the pages any quicker, also tried Brunel *looks round to check Gnomon's not about* (he tells me off for or was it BH (Gosho) - ah, it's one of the 'G's I get them muddled sometimes ) anyhow Brunel seemed even slower, but then it might all have been a coincidence, it can load slow or fast from one minute to the next.

I just Brunel - so many handy tools in that skin. Goo is the worst skin, imho

sheesh... every time I get to the newbies page I get a server overloaded screen... not doing much for my little "mental health break" from the office ya know...

I'll do the same as I did before and "take the late shift"... seeing as how I'm 5 hours behind most of h2g2 I'll wait until evening here and after midnight there and ACE my little ty out!

Maybe it's because I'm a (well, I've got enough grey hairs to be one) I hate the gawdy colours of Brunel it makes me feel If that had been the default skin when I got the link for h2g2, I wouldn't be here today. I'd to have the handy tools Brunel has in Alabaster, but that's never going to happen.
