h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This is a large hallway running along the west side of the chateau. Along the west side are windows looking out over the mountains; on the east side are doors leading to various rooms with paintings on the walls.

*enters the hallway, Silencer at the ready, glasses lowered ready for a deadly librarian glare*

*looks around and admires the view*

[There's no response to his presence; everything's still. Even the shadows.]

*tires of admiring the view and begins trying the doors on the east side of the wing*

*starts to hum to himself for no apparent reason*

[Each door leads into is smallish but ornate bedroom with red walls; they almost seem to be more for being looked at than for being actually slept in. There's a dresser in one corner, with a mirror hanging from the wall above it ... in each room. A shadow briefly moves above him.]

*Looks around*
Hey! This isn't where everyone is!

*is surprised to see Justin*

*is more worried about the shadow above him, so looks up*

*looks at David B Looking up*

*Looks up*

*sees the shadow that briefly moved above him, and brandishes the scythe, picked up from the main hall*

What was that?

I think it was a shadow.

[From the ceiling drops Vlad, a pale-skinned long-haired guy in a black trenchcoat]

[Vlad] Hmm ... I /should/ take you to the Merovingian, but the thing is, he might just kill you. Come this way. I can possibly help your mission.

[He starts down the hallway.]

What do you reckon? Shall we follow? In my honest opinion, i reckon he'll be much more helpful than that other damn lady...

*pages Red Dog*

[Vlad waits patiently in front of a door.]

*Has a quick Holo-conversation with Red Dog*

[] crrchhh ssshhhh hello ........ is that y........ tin ..... crrkkk wrrrrrtttsffff ...... damn this holo phone ....... bugger bugger ... rrttttkkkk ....... can you hear me .......

*decides that waiting for a coherent holophone response would take too long, nods to Justin and follows Vlad*

*follows David, following Vlad*

[] screeeeeeeeeeeee ssshhhh hello Chaps ........ rrrrrrrrrkkkk ........ have wooden stake ......... very much need rreeeeoowwww ........ silver ....... soddit damn ......

*turns to David*

Hey, Red Dog said something about wanting Steak for dinner... On a silver plate, i think, by the sounds of it...

*Shrugs*
