4. You've read So Long and Thanks For All the Fish.

5. You've read Mostly Harmless.

6. You make a note that the above books are classed as a trilogy and yet there are five of them and you tell everyone you know about this funny little quirk of logic.

7. You go on to read the rather funny and endearing Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.

8. You follow that with The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul.

9. You accidentally discover the website h2g2. (Please note, you can only ever admit you discovered this site 'by accident', even if you did purposely seek it out.

10. You print guide entries and hand them to your boss when they ask questions such as 'Who is Robert Burns?' and 'What do I do with the possum in my attic?'.
