P.S. I don't know why Chayim died. He was older than her, may have just died of old age...

Here you go, seeing as you asked
Zelda was a religious, spiritual Jewish poet who attracted secular readers too. Born in 1914 in Chernigoff, the Ukraine, and died at the age of 70 in Jerusalem.
- space after religious
- she died, instead of and died - it reads better that way and gives indication of her gender.
Zelda’s parents,
After her husband’s death
- the type of apostrophe in these is one that doesn't read well on certain software packages, so should be changed to the site style which can be done in the edit (')
"the friends of my soul" - needs single quotes (')
With your footnote, you need to get rid of the space after English so the numeric indicator is hard up against the word, and capitalise including and italicise the name of the poem
You might try finding some appropriate Edited Guide Entries to link to as well, always goes down a treat
Nice one, look forward to seeing it on the Front Page

I actually have a problem with 'she died', so I hopen the change I've made is acceptable.
I don't really want to link it to other entries, due to bitter past experience of having my entry butchered.
I don't know what other apostrophes to use, this is all I'm provided with by my keyboard. GML clinic?

As far as apostrophes are concerned, you've cut and pasted this into the Guide Entry from another word processing program? All you need to do is edit here on h2g2, use the same apostrophe on your keyboard

it was all done on h2g2. this is the only apostrophe i could find.
re: butchered entry, that`s a long story. pc gone mad and all... i stopped writing for a long time after that.

I don't have any nitpicks, just really liked the entry and found it interesting and easy to read. Well done!
I liked the poem qouted and will probably try to find more of her work to read. Are there other Hebrew poets who do similar work?

Not very many. One of my personal favourites is Leah/Lea Goldberg. She wrote beautiful poetry, very personal. I've seen information about her on the internet, and she's far easier to google than Zelda. She was also an editor and a University Lecturer, and much more involved in the 'business' than Zelda ever was.
Maybe Tchernichovsky would be quite similar in style to Zelda. I'll see what I can find of his.
And thanks for the comment!
Elly

It won't help me, my browsere won't let me view Entertainment content.
If you'd like to have a search, the name is Saul or Shaul Tchernichovski. I'm giving the first name as there's some professor Ofer Tchernichovski all over the net...

Let's see if splitting it up will be allowed..
Creed
Laugh, laugh at all my dreams!
What I dream shall yet come true!
Laugh at my belief in man,
At my belief in you.

I am not an ACE for nothing..
Creed
Freedom still my soul demands,
Unbartered for a calf of gold.
For still I do believe in man,
And in his spirit, strong and bold.
