You didn't really I hope? the following morning would have been impossible.
My favourite reality drunk has to be Richard Harris.
Once approached by a policeman as he sat on the pavement, feet in the gutter.
'Don't you think you should be going home sir?' asked the Policeman.
'I am going home.' Harris replied.
'Where do you live Sir?' asked the policeman.
'I live here young man, in this street. I'm just waiting for my house to come round.'

I enjoyed the read! Reminds me of my student days. Different city, but similar experieces!
It's when you have a vague recollection of a total stranger poking his head round the door, saying "You left your door open - and the keys in the lock. I'll put the key on your table... and close the door for you!"...
