Good article - does Mensa@@e know about it yet?
Also, will there be any credits for suggestions?

I have been doing links for suggestions but I have been running out of spare time to draw them in. And then I keep going away for weekends and not having the time to up load new ones. I've got about 6 that I have finished including several of the Drinkies.

Hi
You might find a link to the GuideML Clinic FAQ entry about smileys ( http://www.h2g2.com/A187355#SMILEY ) handy *hint* *hint*

I've seen hints that an expanded smiley library or possibly individual signature smileys/gifs might happen.

LOL - well I don't recall anyone mentioning that the pic had to be an exact pictorial equivalent of the name
And I have no idea what sizes or dimensions are involved - though I'd guess the WWW standard smaller is better would always apply

While it's not really a smiley you might find this interesting/useful http://www.thescifivine.com/xi_data/Centaurus/people/Adams/Bruce/avatar/avatar000sm.gif
It's a from TDV original (StarShip Titanic) & only slightly mutilated by Honest Bruces Used JPGs

OOoooohh.... pureed starlings!
I hadn't thought of using Starship Titanic stuff. Good idea... I've got the game, and I'll do some screengrabs.
As long as TDV don't mind...

You can find TDVs official view on copyright here http://www.tdv.com/html/heavy_legal_stuff.html - Don't Panic its not as hard to read as the name suggests.
It'd probably be a good idea to drop a line on Petas page ( http://www.h2g2.com/U24 ) asking if its OK

Yep they seem like a pretty understanding bunch. I'm not aware of any fan type things having any problems with TDV unless they were trying to make money out of it.
And its always best to ask.

It was just that it was strangely reminicent of a popular chain of drinking establishments and I was worried about Copyright breaches.

Hi there - great Smilies!
Drinks smilies - I would be interested in these. I don't suppose you have got a pretzel smiley? I would be very interested in one of those. Or maybe a nice mince pie. Email me at [email protected] to talk about smilies - I am interested in the details.
