The bid question is should the Christmas smileys be a collection of smileys with a christmas feel, but that are still recognisable as expressing the original emotion. Or just Christmas'y pics which can be used instead of the real ones?

IMHO I'd think it was better if the Christmas smileys are still recognisable as expressing the original emotion - that way when they revert back to the standard ones they still make a bit of sense.

always wondering why everyone was so sad a few weeks ago - until he works out they were putting halloween ghosts in

Thats what I thought, but do I really was to draw a sad looking santa?

Ideally I think there should be a completely different code for the Christmas smileys, to avoid that confusion. This would however mean more work for TDV.
And we'd have to think of christmas smiley codes... hmm...

Peregrin, I think you have suffered a dreadful ommision on smileys and should see if you can include:

True, I'll have a go at the Christmas smileys this week. If I'm lucky and have the spare time.

I've been doing smileys (slowly) on Roasted Amoeba's computer. Not bad considering I've never used a computing drawing program before - I'll be practising more soon.

The smileys may have to wait a bit, I recieved the corrections list for my thesis and it may take a little working through.

That new program's much better for smiley drawing! Anyway, Peregrin, could you describe me as a resident artist?

The shopping was good, not too busy. You will have to bring the rest of your group for the next H2G2 meet up.

Yes - I definately want to bring Sarah there - though she may well be shy. Hopefully Roasted Amoeba will come - he's next to me at the moment and says "As long as I don't run out of purple carrots, I am planning to come... actually... let me just check... yep, Harold says I can come "

He is often odd - but at least he doesn't throw knives like Peregrin/Ian!
I'm there too!!

That alien I originally drew for a DOS game I wrote in Pascal called UFO Wars. That's why it's larger than the others.
In the game you fly around in a flying saucer, shooting everything and basically destroying everything. Fairly linear story line but it's fun
