This was the result of EC Directive 78/4591hm which outlawed drum solos of more than 2 minutes on live rock LPs. As a result of this Ian Paice,Cozy Powell,Ginger Baker et al were forced to moved out the EEC to record abroad. The result was the classic 1979 LP "Loud, long with a beat" featuring non-stop drum sols from the world best drummers. It sold 13 copies
