Analysts Blues
Behind Geddon's wall, The Wall of death! (chemist-assassin, keeper of the hooded swan) Started conversation Nov 30, 2003
In the same vein that there are songs for chain-gang workers, miners etc. This is "The Analysts Blues" ( with apologies to C James).
I've got the Analysts Blues,
I've worked on twelve batches today.
I drink an analyst's booze,
I've worked on what's in the tray.
Then I've climbed in battered old Polo,
and motored away.
I've got the analysts blues,
The solvents by GLC Blues.
I've got the analysts blues,
but always I have played my part.
I'm paid an analyst's dues,
But my printouts are right from the start.
A single read through,
and I've got the whole method by heart.
I've got the analyst's blues,
the solvents by GLC
I.d. by TLC Blues.
I've got the analysts blues,
but there's work for a lifetime ahead.
I get an analysts news,
The agency on the phone rang and said
There's a contract for me,
on the afternoon after I'm dead.
I've got the analysts blues,
The solvents by GLC,
I.D by TLC
Assay by HPLC blues

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
