Isn't Hassan Adnan the ex-president of Iran?
(Says the man with Yasir Arafat on his subs bench)

**extremely random observation**
I didn't realise that Yasser Arafat (the other one) was dead.

Neither did I!
Negotiations with Hampshire's Michael Carberry are reported to have reached an impasse. The player's agent has revealed that Carberry is torn between playing for two Fantasy Krikkit teams who have submitted identical bids for the player.

A second bid has been received for Ian Salisbury, and one for Simon Jones.

Skanks - posts 3 to 9 happened while I was asleep (silly idea, obviously).
I've emailed some new stuff to you and hope I'm not penalised for being in a different time zone?

Yeah, but there's no deadline for this lot of budding, is there? I thought it'ld all be done and dusted well before Tuesday/Weds when we have to have our teams sorted

Blondeness may have struck again of course

I've been offline since Friday, so I'll get on with updating this thread when I've caught up with all the emails

Full list of bids received so far:
Hassan Adnan
Ian Salisbury (one bid withdrawn)
Simon Jones
Niall O'Brien
Jim Troughton
Jason Gallian
Matthew Hoggard
Michael Carberry (two bids)
Darren Stevens
Gareth Breese
Simon Katich
Bids were also received for Alex Loudon and Ben Hutton, but the players rejected the salaries they were offered.
If I've missed any, shout up!
I'll be updating tomorrow, so get any more bids for these player in quick!
Incidentally, it has been suggested that I should enter a team with some of the players that are left. If no-one has any objections, I'll put together a team of no-hopers from the remaining dregs after these bids are sorted out.

Yes, probably
Obviously, there were also bids for James Middlebrook, Darren Stevens, Tim Phillips, and Roger Sillence, but I didn't repeat those in the list above. Middlebrook is going nowhere for the salary that's been offered to him, though, and the two bids I have for Darren Stevens are tied

Er...yes. I object to the proposition for a team of no-hopers. It reduces the transfer list for those of us that might have injured players 2 or 3 months in.
I thought about doing a similar thing in PhPh, but rejected it for just those reasons.
