Living and working in deepest China for about 6 months a year I have tried, or had forced on me, all sorts of local "delicacies". How would you fancy tucking into some of these, bearing in mind everyone is waiting for you to refuse. Of course, one does it for God, Harry and St George.
Stewed cows knees sinews
Deep fried scorpions - rather akin to the crunchy bits at the bottom of a deep frier.
Sea cucumber - sea slug, slippy, slimy, disgusting thing
Ducks tongue - gristley
Deep fried bumble bees - actually quite nice.
Drunken prawns - see F1691973?thread=348244 , but I liked them
Deep fried baby birds - really, baby birds, heads, arms, legs, the lot.
Chicken intestines with Chilli - ????
Silk worm cocoons
Deep fried ciccadas - noisy cricket like bugs found in trees and bushes
and finally, I've seen it but never partaken,
Stewed donkey penis .......
Cheers m'dears

I had deep fried crickets, beetles and scorpians in Thailand from a street vendor. They all just tasted like the oil they were fried in.
I'll try anything once.
