Me, personally, the worst I've done is wound up eating rabbit paté, but then that wasn't all that bad. My dad's French isn't so good - I don't know of an internal organ that he hasn't ordered at some point, except brains, maybe.
Then again, why go abroad? I'll never forget my school's inspired 'prehistoric' themed supper, where we were served no carbohydrates or veg, only most of the less edible parts of a pig...

I love pate, liver, brains, kidneys and pork skin (fried or baked until crisp and crunchy). I had some lamb's fry last night and I am going to have some more tonight - cut up finely and fried until cooked, serve with toast.
