Not quite I'm not sure I don't think ~ Its just the way you talk of those who've gone before and those who are on their way up reminded me of that punchy song by (I can't remember now or don't actually know... Shirley Bassey of someone like that I think) that goes...

"The next best thing is here
But one thing seems quite clear
It's all just a little bit of history repeating

Do you know the song I mean? I think it's been remixed recently (so kids these days probably think it's by Fat Boy Slim or someone) Reminds me of the french saying ~ "Plus ca change, plus le meme chose" ~ "the more things change the more they stay the same".
