smiley - yuk

This made me cringe.smiley - winkeye

It's very interesting and I liked it - sort of - like knuckle snappers - fascinating and really cringe-making.smiley - ok

In the last section you have an exercize instead of exercise - that's all I could spot.

Just one query, would joint replacement help or make no difference to those who are really badly effected?

the joint isn't the problem in most people, its the tendons around the joint, and doctors are really not keen on operating even when you dislocate your joints regularly, my doctor told me this was because it did not make a difference in a lot of people

codydramol- correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought this had been withdrawn from the market because it was supposedly to easy to commit suicide with?

Small point, I think 'hypermobile' is one word rather than two. Hypermbility has also been linked to Fibromyalgia syndrome. My understanding is that one theory relates to the amount of collagen in your joint sockets, and that hypermobility sufferers with insufficient collagen don't have properly cushioned joints, meaning their joints sit more loosely in the sockets and that the sockets and bones can get badly worn down. An interesting distinction that you have already touched on is between benign joint hypermobility, which can be fairly inoccuous as you say, and chronic hypermobility, which can make joints so supple that they victim can be wheelchair bound.

Hi there benjamin, I think you can still get co-dydramol on private prescription, it's just a case of MOST GP's advising against it. I've found solphadol - the super duper prescription only one - to be just as effective with my joint pain.smiley - ok

Particularly this bit from that website: 'The hinge is like a joint, and the doorstop prevents the door from swinging too far and damaging the wall. Likewise, a joint with supporting structures that are loose or stretched will allow extra movement past the normal range of motion.'.

If you follow enough links off the hmsa website you find out quite a lot of stuff.

thanks E but ben mentioned the form of collogen effecting the cushion on the joint not the joint itself, I have already mentioned about the socket being effected and I don't want to put anything in until I know where its come from

Rains - Wondering where time's going and why it's in so much of a hurry!

Fascinating entry smiley - biggrin - my hubby and sister in law have hypermobile joints, and my sister in law suffers very badly from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Apart from the point about hypermobility being one word, I can't think of anything else.

Well done smiley - cheers.
