Irving Washington - Gone Writing

The article I was refering to in the Misfits Classifieds was entitled "Roommates and EVIL" and can be found here http://www.h2g2.com/A119774 It looks like some of this is from direct experience...

I've had my own disagreements with my roommate, but as he's the first I've had I can't really claim that he's all that out of the ordinary. We just have opposing sleep patterns that result in me not getting anything done because I'm tired all the time. That and I don't like the way he treats his girlfriend (but as long as he's not physically abusive I don't know what I can do about that...).

Roommates definitely take a bit of compromise. I've had many roomies that were my friends before we moved in together, and I haven't talked to them since. I've had some I'd never seen before...and I haven't talked to them since. smiley - winkeye Naah, seriously - How you get along with the situation really depends on what kind of a person you are and ditto for the roommate. Some people are compatible - some aren't. And some are just plain freaks of nature...you never know. But I think roommate relationships are unique from any other kind of human interaction out there. And if you don't kill each other, you may end up with a friend. That's the cool thing. smiley - winkeye

Good luck in your situation - keep us posted!
