I am much obliged for this most comprehensive and fascinating article. I'm supposed to be researching drinks for a cocktail party I talked my gullible sister into holding this weekend. Being a lover of both gin and marzipan, some of these delicious sounding recipes will be at the top of my list.
Bit worried about the accordian-related side effects, though. I wonder if setting light to MarGin drinks would burn this trace of evil out of it?

I would suggest that you switch to a less volatile beverage. After all, there's an old Dutch saying that goes, 'you can't separate the marzipan from the gin', which is generally used to mean, 'You can't make two rights from one wrong'.

Every once in a while I come back here to read this marzipan gin article, and it still makes me laugh.
