Thanks Fargo - that helps a lot...
I shall have to go with C - I have reservations with your use of 'all' and 'funny' in answer D (if you're going to be picky )

Fargo Posted Nov 15, 1999
From what I know, answer d is a lot closer to the truth than answer c.....I had no idea this question was so controversial. If ever you get filmed by tv all will be revealed.
Perhaps C Hawke should adjudicate

Hey Fargo, I don't mind - it does mean I come away with having won absolutely no money at all - but there was always a chance - I should have taken the 200 (or whatever it was) - I know the rules (darned rules)
OK - does this mean I can set the next question to see who is the next contestant?
Right then, all you participants.. the first person to put these into correct order of invention will be the next lucky participant in Who Wants to Be A Virtual Millionaire...
Correct Chronological Order of Invention (oldest first):
a. typewriter
b. computer
c. camera
d. telephone

Are we talking patents, prototypes, or commercial products?
This is my guess anyway:
c, a, d, b
If I'm wrong can I have another go?

Correct, Bluebelle
I was going to specify all the specifics but it would have been far too long-winded
Anyway :
c, a, d, b
c. camera - 1826 - first permanent image using camera and light-sensitive paper (Niepce)
a. typewriter - 1867 - first patent (Sholes / Glidden / Soules)
d. telephone - 1876 - first spoken transmission (Bell)
b. computer - 1888 - first successful use of punch-card tabulating machine (Hollerith)
Anyway - your first question -
Complete the name of Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting, Mona ....
a. View
b. Lisa
c. Minnie
d. Theresa

Congratulations Blue, you have won 100A$.
I think etiquette suggests I leave a reasonable time now for other people to pose you a slightly harder question for 200A$. I shall be back in about an hour and a half to see - if another question hasn't been posted I'll put up your question for 200... isn't it exciting
First round

Always c, but almost certainly d too sometimes. Or maybe "an imaginiary problem created by IS consultants...". What a cynic. I'll stick with c.

I'm sure Hawke-face won't mind me responding in his/her place to say CORRECT Blue, you have just won yourself an assured 1000A$ - whatever happens from now on you will always have that money.
Next Question : (I'm afraid I don't know what the sum is - Chris can fill this on on his/her return) :
What is the principle vegetable in the dish Moussaka
a. carrot
b. aubergine (eggplant)
c. courgette (zucchini)
d. sweet potato
And Blue, can I ask (not part of the multichoice I'm afraid) your nationality and first language. It might help in writing future questions so we don't make them totally impossible by being UK/Anglo- or Euro- centric - thanks... We know you can go all the way - 1,000,000A$.... are you nervous yet (hee hee)

Are you sure about that answer, Blue - is that your final answer?

Hey this is great fun - the most drawn out game of "Millionaire" Ive ever seen.
Is the English one with Mr Tarrant as slow as the Australian version. Theres only about four or five questions asked in half an hour - so painful!!!!!
Hope you get the million blue (you may not live long enough to see it at this rate though!!!)
