Well I for one am glad someone asked about these items because quite honestly I was afraid to look at what I suspect was the contents of his drawers. The drawers where the yellow sticky things were not, for they had run down the leg of his stool...

Actually, SeaChange, it's a spring-loaded finger-poking thingie that Diabetics use to draw blood for their glucometer strips.
My wife is a diabetic and I based the drawings on some of the crap I've found in her drawers (shut up, Jwf!) over the years while looking for something she'd lost... Like a driver's license or her glasses...
