*reaches up and takes down RB's mug from shelf and fills with RBB coffee. Reaches under counter and takes out a box containing some Pain aux chololate (chocolate filled croissant), heats it up for about 20 secs in the microwave and passes them across*

There you are RB -----> c|~| <>

Oh! pain au chocolat! My absolute favorite... didn't realize that we had them here.
*Takes sip of coffee, and bite of croissant, shivers*
Ahh, heaven.
Thanks B-17

Odradek, I met Diogenes. What a wonderful cat! Seems very well behaved and gets along with Ook and Pierrot. Something about seeing a cat sunning itself in a window is very relaxing. My two cats are pretty shy, and just stay at home on my spaceship.

As far as cold drink with caffeine, might try an iced coffee or cappuchino.

He's pretty well behaved, yes...though l'm not sure how he's going to get along with this Greebo that Lil mentioned...
Whatever's this "Redbeard's Brew" of yours, by the way?

Mmm. Thanks, Babel. And l don't mind it a bit, no.
As for Digi? Hm. Can the llEM do ice cream? His other penchant, besides yogurt, is butter pecan ice cream.

We shall give it a try.
IIEM, a bowl of butter pecan Ice Cream please.
*bowl of ice cream appears.*
That would be a yes then. smiley - smiley
*passes bowl to Odra*
I think it would be better coming from you. smiley - smiley
BTW, Greebo T. Cat is very agreeable, though i wouldn't leave any doughnuts around in her presence. There would definately be none left, and personally I wouldn't like to see any harm coming to Digi, should he feel the need to try. Trust me, i know what I am talking about. i have see at first hand what can happen to someone who comes between Greebo and Doughnuts!

*calls softly to Diogenes, who hops onto the table with her, gives a curt nod of thanks to Babel, and attacks the ice cream with vigour*
Hmm. Well, l imagine he'll be safe enough...l don't think l've ever actually seen Digi -eat- a donut. Generally he prefers to stick to dairy products. So perhaps they'll get along.

Odradek, I'm a big fan of very dark coffee, and I was looking for something a bit darker than what was on the menu, so the IIEM created Redbeard's Brew for me. Full description is at http://www.h2g2.com/A341489

My cats like donuts just enough to find them, open the sack, and bite little chunks out of them! smiley - smiley

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence

Ah, ahem. So this morning I was done in by the failure of a "newer posts" button! I'll go check it out later, as a penance.

Odra, have you ever read any of the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett? They are hugely entertaining, and contain an enormous cast of characters that one gets to know across, oh, it must be over 30 books in the series now. Anyway, One of the characters is a criminal feline named Greebo T. Cat. Greebo is black, battered and scarred and extremely large, but he longs to be a fluffy orange cutie.

The fluffy orange cutie is what we have here on h2g2, but as Babel points out, she never met a donut she didn't like. Greebo runs the Cheshire Grin Inn. I guilt-tripped her recently for not coming over here in such a long while, so perhaps she'll visit soon.

Where is that giggling coming from?

What sort of donuts are their favorite? Or do they just enjoy the devious thrill of rendering your donuts half-bitten?

Hmm. l'm half-tempted to try one of these coffees of yours...

Hmm. Shall have to probably brush up on my sci-fi in order to bolster myself for The Greebo Encounter. But l'm more than willing to yield any and all donuts in my possesion, if that's what it takes...

Discworld is more fantasy than sci-fi, and as long as you don't tell her you have doughnuts you should be ok smiley - smiley
However she does have a remarkable nose for hunting them down.

Yeah, I haven't really met Greebo in person yet, but just passed by in forums. But I always keep a donut handy just in case. smiley - smiley

My cats don't seem to be too particular, but I suppose they like the cream filled ones the best. They're really not fed people food much, so they don't take much, but they do like to at least maul them a bit. They're big fans of yogurt tho, as you can guess! I always let them lick the yogurt container, partly because they like it, and partly because I get some perverse pleasure watching them try to get to the bottom and get the container stuck on their head. smiley - winkeye

I like the Discworld books a lot, but my favorite Pratchett is one he co-wrote with Neil Gaiman called 'Good Omen', which reminds me a bit of DNA's style.

Poor cats. lt's like enacting a National Geographic anti-pollution nature special in one's own living-room. l actually have had to take to getting Digi his own little bowl of the yogurt, or else he stares plantively until given the container, and proceeds to get it stuck on his head...like some seabird trapped in a six-pack ring.
