You should drink something hot, Lizzy. The germs that's having a party in your throat hates heat. Tea with lemon and honey for example.

that's the best advice i've had so far
everyone else keeps telling me to eat chicken soup (which isn't so handy seeing as i'm vegetarian!)

But for a hay fever remedy, make sure it's local honey - it'll be made from the pollen of the local plants that you come into contact with most. Honey from the other side of the world isn't as good, but then there is sadly a massive honey crisis at the moment.

My grandma used to make me a lemon toddy when I had a sore throat when I was little. The heat combined with the vitamin C, and honey of course, usually did the trick.
And try to wear a scarf (cotton or silk will do)all the time, even when you go to bed. Heat.
